About Me.

Hi, I'm Shaun!

I’m a senior level user experience designer, based in New York.

My 18+ years of experience spans agency, corporate, start-up, freelance and client-side teams across multiple domains including education, media, ad-tech, corporate and intranets.

As a User Experience Designer, it’s important for me to act as the voice of users, researching their problems and needs to help deliver experiences that keep them engaged and satisfied. My role is to ensure that designs that are always compatible with the needs, abilities, and limitations of its end users.

I think a good user experience designer is somebody who’s empathetic, open-minded, with a creative/inquisitive brain, has a strong passion to enhance the way people interact with their environments and always welcome opportunities in new fields to diversify their knowledge base.

I welcome and enjoy challenges put before myself, I love to debate, brainstorm, communicate ideas and collaborate closely with people from various teams (creative, product, business, strategy and tech teams) from discovery to launch and beyond all while being able to see the big picture, and figure out the small details simultaneously.

Skills

As a self-taught designer, I’ve continuously worked over the years to sharpen my skills in various tools and applications to that has allowed myself to be prepared for any situation I may face. My strengths are in Axure RP, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator), Invision, Sketch, HTML 5, CSS 3 Javascript.
